19. Stranger Things (Season 4)

Severance Adam Scott
Netflix

It may have taken a while for it to finally hit our screens (for obvious reasons), but Stranger Things' fourth season was definitely worth the wait, infusing its macabre story with plenty more monsters, friendships and action for audiences to sink their teeth into.

Following the residents of Hawkins as they do battle with a new, personal threat, whilst dealing with the strained emotional fallout from the Battle of Starcourt in the previous season, the coming-of-age drama may stretch itself thin at times with too many scattered characters, but its action and set pieces are too exciting to fault.

Whether it's Eleven's journey into her own repressed past, Max struggling with the pain of her brother's death or Hopper becoming an enslaved gladiator in Russia, Stranger Things' fourth chapter may have its flaws, but it's so thrilling and cathartic that you'll find yourself eager for more.
