20 Doctor Who Actors Who Appeared in Sherlock

10. Lindsay Duncan

Lindsay Duncan has had an eclectic career, appearing in the likes of Birdman, Alice In Wonderland and even Star Wars: The Phantom Menace as the voice of droid TC-14. She also has the distinction of being a one-off companion of the Doctor (complete with her name in the opening credits), appearing as tough captain Adelaide Brooke in David Tennant's penultimate adventure The Waters Of Mars. She memorably fought against the Doctor's new found mentality as the "Time Lord Victorious", taking responsibility for his meddling with time by committing suicide to get the timeline back on track. Duncan later had a much smaller role in Sherlock Series Three finale His Last Vow as Lady Smallwood, a woman who is blackmailed (and licked) by the odious Charles Augustus Magnussen, leading her to recruit Sherlock to take the man down.
