14. The Rutans
We've seen the war between the Daleks and the Thals, and we've even seen the seemingly impossible-to-realise Time War!
However, Doctor Who has never depicted the war between the Sontarans and the Rutans onscreen, despite it being mentioned countless times over the years.
The Rutans themselves have only appeared in televised Doctor Who once, in the classic Tom Baker serial The Horror of Fang Rock. While the big green ball of goo might not be the most imaginative design, technology has advanced sufficiently to render these evil green gobstoppers in more terrifying detail.
They're also a fairly blank slate when it comes to backstory, allowing new writers to expand our knowledge of the Rutans and turn them into truly iconic Doctor Who villains.
