20 Mind-Blowing Facts You Never Knew About Sons Of Anarchy

7. It Was Written In The Police Station

Charming may be a fictional location, but a lot of the series is for real filmed in California. Much of the first season were shot around the Southern California town of Tujunga, with some specifically being shot at the local high school. Apart from those location shoots, though, the majority of scenes from Sons of Anarchy are shot on sets in Hollywood. Movie magic folks! The main sets at Occidental Studios's Stage 5A include Jax€™s house, the clubhouse, and St. Thomas Hospital. Any interior scenes of Northern Ireland were also filmed as Occidental. Apparently the show was one of those €œuse every part of the buffalo€ deals, with the stage space rarely being wasted. Case in point: the Charming police station that became some important through the show's run is in fact the production office where the writers worked when the set was not being used for filming. Which probably helped when Sutter needed to keep them for an overnight story-breaking session.
