If you're a big fan of Seinfeld, you would've noticed that the writer, Larry David, cameos multiple times. Although he's never seen clearly, David has such a distinctive voice, it's easy to recognise him. He's best-known for performing the voice of the unseen Yankee's owner, George Steinbrenner III.

However, David appears (figuratively speaking) far more throughout the show than you would assume. He plays the thief that jacks Jerry's car, the raft man, the B-Movie actor yelling on tv, the man who calls for a marine biologist, the cape-wearing gentleman, and Saddam Hussein.

Although the sinister postal worker, Newman, was physically portrayed by Wayne Knight for the first time in the episode, The Boyfriend, the character was heard offscreen in previous episodes. Before Knight was cast, Newman was voiced by none other than Larry David!

When George Steinbrenner started making regular appearances, viewers noticed his voice was suspiciously similar to the original Newman. To avoid confusion, the creators had Knight re-record David's lines in earlier episodes. Most viewers didn't notice David voiced the iconic character since the original episode were pulled from syndication.
