20 Mind-Blowing Facts You Didn't Know About The Walking Dead
14. Time Keeps Flowing Like A River
Figuring out how much time has actually passed in The Walking Dead so far is kind of tough. Rick Grimes was unconscious for a good long while, spending enough time in a coma for the rest of the world to go to hell thanks to the zombie apocalypse. But since then time has gotten more malleable, the passage indicated only by facial hair growth and Carl's voice breaking. Apparently the timeline of the second half of season four (eight episodes) takes place across eigh days exactly so that's one a day, give or take. The first half of season five, meanwhile, took place over just four days. Season four is the shortest in terms of time elapsed, and season one is the longest. Which is ironic, since it has the least episodes. In fact, the most time that's passed in a single episode? Yep, it's that pilot, with weeks passing between Rick getting shot and finding his family.
