13. A Footballer Played A Zombie

The Walking Dead has played host to any number of covert cameo appearances during its run so far, with special effects artist Greg Nicotero making on-screen appearances as both the bloated zombie down Hershel's well in the second season and the walker who bit Andrea's sister. Not that you'd probably recognise Nicotero out of the make up, unless you're an avid watcher of the Evil Dead trilogy's DVD extras. You might have recognised former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver and latterly Dancing With The Stars performer Hines Ward, however, when he made appeared (undead) in season three's Suicide King. Or you might be a NFL-ignorant Brit who was just wondering why that particular walker was so hench compared to the skeletal brethren around him.
