20 Mind-Blowing Facts You Never Knew About Breaking Bad

16. Felina = Blood, Meth And Tears

AMC

Breaking Bad episode titles are renowned for being a little smarter than they first appear, normally loaded with a double meaning or subtle pun (I See You takes place primarily in the ICU, for example). Which made the title of the finale a particularly strong talking point in the lead-up to its airing.

Felina had no link to anything previously stated in the series, with people believing it served as a massive clue to the ending. And, in a way, it is. Taking the word as chemical symbols (Fe, Li, Na) you end up with iron, lithium and sodium. Or, given the important of each of those metals in the respective substances, it's blood, meth and tears. How prophetic.

Another reading of the title makes it a reference to Marty Robbins song El Paso, which features a character named Felina who motivates a cowboy onto a similar journey to Walt's. Although we must say we prefer the chemistry meaning.
