2. Christian Bale Couldve Been Season 2s Lead
Looking to the upcoming second season of True Detective, which will start from scratch in a new location, with a new story and with new characters, it seems Pizzolatto has retained the cachet to draw big-name movie stars for his show. This time, Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, Taylor Kitsch and Vince Vaughn (yeah, its hardly the most promising option right now, but just remember where Matthew McConaughey was only five years ago) will play the four leads. That cast list couldve read differently, however: Christian Bale and Jessica Chastain were both approached to star in season two, but both turned it down due to the amount of time it takes to film each season of the show. Also in the apparent running at one time were Elisabeth Moss and Brad Pitt. Who knows, maybe theyll take season three.
