8. Vigil
Set to air on BBC, Vigil focuses on the disappearance of the fictional Scottish fishing trawler and a death on-board a Trident nuclear submarine, which results in conflict between the police and Navy and British security services. DCI Amy Silva is brought in to lead an investigation into the mysterious events - which takes place on both land and at sea - as a conspiracy looms that threatens the very heart of Britain’s nuclear deterrent.
Suranne Jones will lead the thriller as Silva, while Game of Thrones' Rose Leslie will also star. It's not yet clear as to when it will air but it did resume production back in August so provided it has finished (or finishes soon), a Spring 2021 air date isn't out of the question.
Suranne Jones has been enjoying an incredible run as of late as the former Coronation Street actress won a BAFTA for her performance in Doctor Foster and also garnered acclaim for her turn in Gentlemen Jack. Needless to say, she's destined to shine again in Vigil.
