Sex Education turned out to be an unusually brilliant comedy that managed to be every bit as heartfelt as it was funny. Masquerading under the guise of an in-your-face sex-crazed sitcom, it offered a thoughtful look at the coming-of-age process and how many teenagers ultimately struggle with it - it just so happened to be hilarious at the same time.
Whether it was Asa Butterfield's uniquely endearing turn as Otis or Gillian Anderson's show-stealing performance as his mother, sex therapist Dr. Jean F. Milburn, there was something for everyone to enjoy - and it was a show that offered so much more than what it said on the tin. And now it gets to do it all again in the second season.
