The Moment: When a John Deere lawn mower inexplicable shows up in the Sterling Cooper office, secretary Lois (Crista Flanagan) ends up riding it around, only to accidentally run over the foot of prospective new boss Guy MacKendrick (Jamie Thomas King), sending a shower of blood violently spraying over several employees. Why It Had To Be Paused: Because there has never been a moment on Mad Men quite like it. The show typically moves at a more sedate pace than viewers may be used to and is more character-driven than plot-driven, so for the writers to throw something so brutal and wacky into the mix was a true surprise, but in fact, it actually worked. Combining its grisly shock value with a darkly comic tone, this crazy moment helped make "Guy Walks Into An Advertising Agency" one of the show's very best episodes to date.
