20 Most Paused TV Moments Of The Decade

3. Joffrey Gets What He Deserves (Game Of Thrones - Season 4, Episode 2)

The Moment: Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson) finally gets what's coming to him, as he is poisoned by a then-unknown party and suffocates to death in his mother's arms, causing his face to turn purple and blood to run from his eyes and nose. Why It Had To Be Paused: After spending three seasons as TV's most loathsome, weaselly baddie, Joffrey finally got a death befitting how much of an irrepressible douchebag he was, one full of pain, suffering and a total lack of dignity. The feeling of immense audience satisfaction at this can be exemplified no better than by the Twitter storm that emerged in the wake of the episode's conclusion, with fans expressing ecstatic joy that the spoiled punk finally got his just desserts. Plus, it's worth pausing because that make-up is just freaking gross (and awesome).
