20 Things Only People Addicted To Soaps Can Understand

4. Being Frustrated When Someone Changes Character

Occasionally, for the sake of a good story, a character will have an unannounced personality transplant. Whether it€™s a seasoned villain being given a soft side or a previously quite blah character suddenly turning out to be a mass murderer and/or in love with their sibling, these out-of-character events can be confusing or even infuriating. Like, why would a character who's always hated someone decide they're suddenly in love with them? It doesn't make any sense! But it€™s all part of the show right? With a little suspended reality, the mobster who blackmailed and tortured half the cast can become a fan favourite after falling in love and settling down, making the audience forget that he was ever the terrifying sadist from only a couple of months ago. It€™s just part of their growth as a person, right? Right?

Fan of Taylor Swift and the Dead Kennedys (a duet I can only dream of). I like dystopias, slasher films, and video games that make me feel things.
