The small city is later seen on a map, showing it to be located in Georgia and be the very same Macon that's the setting on the video game The Walking Dead: Season One.

It's a clever outside reference that actually adds a lot to the world building of the franchise, as it shows that Macon is a genuine part of the show's canon.

Also, based on its position on the map, many fans have theorised Terminus is actually located in the city, since the maps line up when placed side by side.
