20 TV Shows That Are Practically Flawless

8. Seinfeld

A show often labelled as being "about nothing," Seinfeld is actually a series about everything, namely those things we all encounter on the day-to-day but never really feel like talking about. The sitcom poked fun at the boring everyday, and did it with some of the most gut-busting comedy ever put to the small screen.

At the centre of these hysterics, creator Larry David placed four friends who's egos constantly set them up to fail: There's comedian Jerry Seinfeld; Jason Alexander's miserable George Costanza; Michael Robards' eccentric neighbour Cosmo Kramer; and Julia Louis-Dreyfus' English Patient-hating publisher Elaine Benes.

Through these characters, David and Seinfeld crafted a series centred around the everyday, but told through the eyes of people who at their core are fairly terrible human beings. Add to the somehow-likeable characters David's flexible writing, and what you have with Seinfeld is a series every bit as masterful as the hype suggests.
