20 Valuable Life Lessons Doctor Who Has Taught Us

1. There's Always A Better Way To Do Things

The War, Tenth and Eleventh Doctors were brought to the last day of the Time War during The Day of the Doctor, an occurance that should've been impossible owing to the fact that the events of the war were time locked. Many fans believed it was the power of the Moment - under the guise of Rose Tyler as the Bad Wolf - that allowed the Doctors to avoid the destruction of Gallifrey. However, the Eleventh Doctor, having had 400 or so years to think about his decision, changed his mind at the last minute, instead deciding to contain Gallifrey inside a giant stasis cube. Using all his previous incarnations to work out the required calculations, he was able to secure Gallifrey's future within a pocket universe. He found a different and "better" way to do things and, while the Ninth and Tenth Doctors didn't remember what actually happened, the Doctor now has the knowledge that his people are still alive and out there somewhere, just waiting to be found and brought back without reigniting the Time War anew. Lesson Learned: There is always a better way to go about something, provided you have the time and resources available to achieve it. The Doctor has been part of our lives for over 50 years and there are numerous other lessons he's taught us that weren't mentioned here. Are there any particular ones that should've been included? I am an avid fan of Doctor Who, Video Games and WWE Wrestling who is a 12 year medically retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force. I've been married for 14 years with two children, 10 and 8. As a stay at home father, I find myself with copious amounts of free time and have taken to writing as a way to give me something to do. I currently reside near Kansas City, Missouri in the United States but am originally from Chicago, Illinois.
