3. Roobarb And Custard

robb Roobarb is an enthusiastic green dog with a plan always on the go. Custard is a cynical pink cat who is quite meanspirited when he tries to put an end to Roobarb's fun. Unlike Tom and Jerry where bloody Jerry always wins, the pair sort of take turns in getting one over the other which makes it much more interesting to watch. Birds sit on the side making sarcastic remarks. In a rebellion to the smooth animation that was being produced by Hanna Barbera, Roobarb is roughly illustrated, giving the cartoon a feeling of being on the go. The first fully animated British cartoon to have been actually made in the UK, Roobarb and Custard is voiced by Richard Briers and is considered essential cult viewing for young and old in the UK

My first film watched was Carrie aged 2 on my dad's knee. Educated at The University of St Andrews and Trinity College Dublin. Fan of Arthouse, Exploitation, Horror, Euro Trash, Giallo, New French Extremism. Weaned at the bosom of a Russ Meyer starlet. The bleaker, artier or sleazier the better!
