20 Vintage Kids TV Shows From The Golden Age

18. Danger Mouse

danger mouse The cartoon follows the exploits of Danger Mouse, a fantastic secret service agent who along with his bumbling sidekick Penfold fights crime and corruption all over the world especially that emanating from his wiley arch nemesis Lord Silas Greenback and his henchman Stiletto. The jokes in Danger Mouse are quite silly but the writing is amazing - putting incredible dialogue into the character's mouths and really bringing their characterisation to life. The cartoon is very funny for people of all ages and it comes off as a demented cross between James Bond and Monty Python. Widely regarded and admired 1980s classic cartoon fare.

My first film watched was Carrie aged 2 on my dad's knee. Educated at The University of St Andrews and Trinity College Dublin. Fan of Arthouse, Exploitation, Horror, Euro Trash, Giallo, New French Extremism. Weaned at the bosom of a Russ Meyer starlet. The bleaker, artier or sleazier the better!
