20 Vintage Kids TV Shows From The Golden Age

15. Fun House

fun house Based on an American show and aired between 1989-1999, Fun House is probably known more for presenter Pat Sharp's glorious mullet than anything else. There were the perky twins Melanie and Martina who surely touched many a young boy's heart. Each team consisted of a boy and girl representing a school from whatever part of the country they were from. There were three rounds - a messy round with lots of gloopy fun, a go-kart round and finally children would be let into the titular Fun House which was by far and away the most thrilling part of the show. Fondly remembered by many for its anarchic goings on, I do believe Pat Sharp is now mulletless. A firm favourite of the SKY channel Challenge, go back, my friends and relive the golden days of children's telly.

My first film watched was Carrie aged 2 on my dad's knee. Educated at The University of St Andrews and Trinity College Dublin. Fan of Arthouse, Exploitation, Horror, Euro Trash, Giallo, New French Extremism. Weaned at the bosom of a Russ Meyer starlet. The bleaker, artier or sleazier the better!
