The moment Arya Stark set off for Bravos at the end of Season 4, fans have been itching to see her transformation into a fearless, faceless assassin under the tutelage of Jaqen H'ghar. Her character arc in Season 5 turned out to be perhaps the most protracted of them all, but the season finale finally made the wait worthwhile. Arya's death list has been something of an obsession for the character for a long time, and it was uncertain whether or not she'd be able to take Jaqen H'ghar's instructions to heart and separate herself from her past and become "no one". The sight of Meryn Trant disembarking a boat was all it took for her to defy the Many-Faced God, and her revenge in the brothel counts as one of the most graphic deaths this season. Arya inevitably paid a price for her transgression - upon her return to the House of Black and White she's rendered blind as punishment for killing someone who was not hers to kill.
