2013 MTV Movie Awards: Top 5 Moments

4. Tom Hiddleston Wins Best Villain

Someone has to tell Tom Hiddleston to stop being so humble, gracious, and impossibly likable. He is only making it harder for all of us to hate him as Loki. In all seriousness, Hiddleston deserves a lot of credit for beating out his very tough competition in Tom Hardy and Leonardo DiCaprio. It is an impressive, deserved victory for a man who's elevated the character of Loki to a level of pop culture awareness that few would have predicted, all while remaining remarkably grateful to the fans who support Marvel films. Last night, fans finally had the chance to say, "No, Tom, thank you!" The Avengers was not the kind of movie more "prestigious" award-giving bodies generally look at for acting nominations, but Hiddleston delivered a gem of a performance in the film just as he did one year earlier in "Thor." Loki is now a staple of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and his presence will remain in high demand.
