21 Problems Only Friends Fans Will Understand

6. Still Talking In Friends Quotes

NBC

What is your go to Friends quote? Everyone has at least one, but probably more than that. From not sharing food, to calling something a 'moo point', Phoebe's "I wish I could but I don't want to", "they don't know that we know they know", gum being perfection, "why do good things happen to bad people?", shouting the name of whatever city you're visiting, with 'baby' added afterwards, or even none-verbal actions, like Ross' version of a pretty rude term, there's a number of quotes that have transcended the show and became used with a degree of regularity (in my life anyway, please say I'm not alone).

It can get to the stage where it seems that you have whole conversations in Friends quotes, just reeling off lines one after the other with a fellow fan, and yet to you and the person you're talking to it makes complete sense, and is just another regular chat. Sometimes you'll respond to something with a Friends quote, and the other person will just stare blankly back at you. Fair enough if it's an obscure one, but if you're moving furniture and yelling 'PIVOT!', and the other person doesn't even crack a smile, then put down that sofa and walk away because they are not to be trusted.
