21 Problems Only Friends Fans Will Understand

5. Having Friends Who Don't Watch Friends

NBC

Like those people who criticise the show, it's crazy to think that there are people who don't actually enjoy watching Friends. I don't understand it either, but apparently they do exist.

Now obviously you'd never actually choose to be friends with such a person, but what if you're already good mates, and it's not until much later that you realise they don't like the show? You could cut them out, but it's a little harsh (and they might just claw their way back in anyway). It means that, as in the previous entry, if you try to unleash a genius Friends quote on them, they're going to be totally nonplussed.

Or if you're in a group and having a conversation about the show, or referencing that a situation is just like on Friends, they're going to have no idea what's going on, and you'll have to either change the subject, or frequently pause to explain. A friend who doesn't watch Friends isn't really a friend at all.
