Of course, for anything DC-based, the number 52 always seems to rear its head at any chance that it gets. Here we see that there have been 52 breaches in Central City, suggesting a busy future for Barry Allen. For those not familiar, 52 is synonymous with DC for the whole New 52 relaunch of the DC comic book world a few years ago now, which started things from scratch with revamped takes on character and relaunched, you guessed it, 52 new series. So for the second time in this episode we get a 52 reference because... well, because DC. No wonder Dr. Stein promptly collapsed shortly after this, although chances are that his issues are Firestorm related.
