24: 15 Stupidest Things We Just Had To Go With

6. No Follow-Up On Max

German arms dealer Max was revealed to be the mastermind behind the terrorist attacks of season 2. Working with Peter Kingsley and several other oil men, they planned to quadruple their share holdings in the Caspian Sea by forcing the U.S. to go to war with the Middle East; hence, covertly organising the terrorist attack. Kingsley attempted to stop Jack from supplying President Palmer with proof of his involvement, but in the end Jack was victorious and the conspiracy was revealed. Although his role in the day€™s events went unrevealed, Max nevertheless initiated his secondary plan and hired season 1 femme fatale Mandy to poison Palmer with a virus. You€™d think that season 3 would have followed up on this. Wrong! At the start of the third season, three years after the previous ending, Palmer is recovering and his brother Wayne offhandedly remarks how all the people involved with the assassination attempt were arrested. Seriously, you wrap up an event like that with just one sentence? That€™s infuriating! While Max was later followed up on in 24: The Game, the writers of season 3 missed a great opportunity to bring him back as a multi-season antagonist. Plus, for those who didn€™t play video games or own a PS2, Max€™s fate would forever remain a mystery...well, unless they went on Wikipedia.
