Although not as bad as Game of Thrones, 24 is one of the few shows thats willing to kill off its main characters indiscriminately. However, with Michelle Dessler in season 3, even guaranteed death managed to somehow avoid her. Learning that the virus was about to be released into the Chandler Plaza Hotel, Michelle and several CTU agents went to stop its dispersal. Although they captured Marcus Alvers, the man who set the dispersal device, they werent able to stop the virus from being released in the hotel. With a 95% mortality rate, the virus killed almost everyone in the vicinity. Luckily for Michelle, she happened to be of only three people in the building who was immune to the virus. Obviously shes a main character, but odds were clearly stacked against her. If this were real life, she would have been one of the first casualties, and Tony probably would have become a bad guy sooner. Sure, 24 is still a TV show, but when youre willing to kill off anybody that isnt Jack, Chloe or Kim, it stands to reason that Michelle should have met her end sooner.
