24: 15 Stupidest Things We Just Had To Go With

2. Milo Pressman€™s Death

Throughout the chaos of season 6, we witnessed the €œromantic€ subplot between Milo Pressman and Nadia Yassir. Milo helped Nadia out a couple times throughout the season, most notably when he gave her his access code, and as the episodes wore on we learned that he had feelings for her. Eventually they kissed, but Nadia told him she needed time to process what was happening that day before she could decide how she felt about him. Fair enough. Only an hour after Nadia took over CTU, Chinese operatives stormed CTU to acquire Josh Bauer. Their leader asked who was in command, but before Nadia can stand up, Milo says the director of CTU and is promptly shot in the head. There€™s a couple things wrong with this. First off, when the Chinese leader found out that Nadia was the actual director of CTU, he didn€™t kill her. So what was the point of killing Milo at all? Also, when Milo€™s brother came to CTU later to pick up his body, he told Nadia that Milo had loved her. Uh, Milo, you kissed her once. At best, you were infatuated. If this were a Disney movie, sure, that€™s true love, but this is the gritty world of 24. While heroes die to save others all the time in the movies and TV shows, Milo doesn€™t fall under the category of €œselfless hero,€ and it€™s convoluted to imagine that he would sacrifice himself to save a woman he barely knows. Maybe Jack Bauer would have done something like that, but forcing Milo to be that person didn€™t make much sense.
