24: 15 Stupidest Things We Just Had To Go With

12. Jack€™s Family In Season 6

Kim and Jack may have had their differences throughout the show, but even those events never reached the groan-worthy levels that Jack€™s family did in season 6. After the nuclear bomb went off in Valencia, it was revealed that Graem - the mysterious man seen working with Charles Logan in season 5 - was Jack€™s brother, and their father Phillip had been involved with the Sentox gas conspiracy as well. It turns out that the terrorists had acquired the suitcase nukes from Phillip€™s company, and he and Graem were doing their best to keep the whole thing quiet. Phillip later killed Graem to keep him from telling Jack everything, and came back at the end of the season working with Cheng Zhi. He certainly got around. We saw many weird things with the Bauer family, whether it was Jack torturing his brother twice, his whiny nephew Josh, or Jack€™s bordering-on-creepy relationship with his sister-in-law (and former flame) Marilyn. However, Phillip Bauer takes the prize for most infuriating character of the season: With most villains, we€™re able to understand their goals, but Phillip was such a conundrum. One minute he kills his son and is willing to kill his grandson (barely expressing any emotion about it), the next he€™s trying to smuggle Josh out of the U.S. and into China. How did he even end up working with the Chinese at all? I€™m sure Cheng had better options than calling up the father of his nemesis. In the history of 24, Phillip has to be one of the show€™s worst characters.
