Season six was widely regarded to be the worst season of 24, and with good reason. The season decided to turn some of Jack's immediate family into bad guys, with the revelation that the bald guy with glasses we'd glimpsed occasionally in season five was in fact Jack's estranged brother, Graem Bauer. Jack ends up interrogating his brother multiple times throughout the season in order to obtain information, eventually learning that Graem had helped cause the deaths of David Palmer, Tony and Michelle. Graem and Jack's father Phillip (played by the superb James Cromwell) then reveals himself to be the true Big Bad, by giving Graem an overdose of the interrogation drug Jack was using, in order to ensure he didn't blab anything to Jack. Phillip ended up meeting a sticky end in the season's final episode, as he's blown to pieces on an oil rig, much to Jack's disdain, who wanted him to see a trial and prison. About as absurd and soap opera-esque as 24 has ever gotten, most fans just like to pretend season six doesn't exist, and that's surprisingly easy for the most part.
6. Milo Dies (Season 6, Episode 22)
Milo was one of the more likeable minor characters in the very first season of 24, an independent contractor brought in to decode a key card, who ultimately proved to be extremely skilled at his job, even if he was always seen snacking on something while doing it. To the surprise of many, Milo returned to CTU in day six, with it soon being made clear that he had been in some sort of relationship with Chloe in the interim, but had been ditched for her ex-husband Morris. Milo moved onto his cute superior Nadia later in the season, though this abruptly came to a head when Chinese mercenaries entered CTU, asking for the leader to make themselves known. Just as Nadia is about to do so, Milo instead steps forward, and is promptly shot in the head. Milo may not have had many big moments throughout 24, but he was one of those extremely likeable supporting characters who at least had a suitably heroic death.
