6. Tony's Appearance Was A Missed Opportunity
One of 24: Legacy's most alluring prospects was the return of series legend Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard), making him the only original character to appear throughout this entire season.
Unfortunately, though, Tony doesn't show up until the seventh episode and is given very little of interest to do after that, basically working as a generic rent-a-thug who follows the money and little else.
This doesn't feel much like the Tony fans know and love, and little effort has been made to further develop him as a person. And worst of all, just when the series looks like it's going to make good on an epic Eric-Tony teamup, Tony awkwardly slinks away with a broken arm in the season finale, leaving Eric to finish up by himself.
What, honestly, was the point of bringing a fan favourite character back for such a lame, near-pointless bit part? Nothing this season was more disappointing than Tony's damp squib of a role.
