24: Legacy Season 1 Review - 4 Ups & 6 Downs
4. Too Many Villains
This has been a common 24 complaint for years, and the over-abundance of baddies is decidedly exacerbated in this 12-episode mini-season.
The season's three big villains are Jadalla bin-Khalid (Raphael Acloque), his father Sheikh Ibrahim bin-Khalid (Eli Danker) and Asim Naseri (Oded Fehr), not to mention supporting slimeballs Henry Donovan (Gerald McRaney), Luis Diaz (Daniel Zacapa) and Donald Simms (James Moses Black).
It's just way, way too much, especially considering that the three main villains are relatively uninteresting, and more effort should've been put into fashioning one single, truly terrifying and compelling antagonist.
Instead the bad guys were mostly pretty anonymous this season, and only McRaney's ferociously determined oil man made much of a dent.
