24: Live Another Day - 10 Reasons To Be Excited For Jack Bauer's Return
3. The Two Hour Season Premiere
Two hours. That's one-sixth of the entire season, all in one night, all in one sitting, all on Monday May 5th. This means two hours of fast paced and inventive action, two hours of rampant adrenaline rushing through your body, and two hours of what is easily some of television's best drama. Two hours means you won't have to sit at the edge of your seat waiting until next week to find out what happens (well you'll still have to do that, but it will be prolonged a bit), and two hours means you can view the premiere almost as if it were a film, in its full length and quality. Of course, there are commercials, so that does put a tiny damper on things. I will attest that 24's greatest flaw is its constant interruption by ads which tends to hinder its pace and tension-building nature greatly. It also prevents us from seeing what happens during commercials, as it is a real time TV show. Fortunately, as mentioned earlier, old episodes are available on Netflix, in their beautiful commercial-free format.
Hey there, I'm Joseph, a college student, and a huge fan of a variety of nerdy stuff. Ultimately I'm a big-time Star Wars fanboy, and an avid Nintendo fan. Some of my favorite video games of all time include Super Mario 64, Super Mario Galaxy, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the Paper Mario series, and Metroid Prime, but I am known to greatly enjoy other games like Call of Duty, Battlefield, and Halo. Star Wars is my obsession, and I'm a massive Clone Wars fan and will never overcome Disney's cancellation of the series. I'm thrilled to write for What Culture, and I hope you all enjoy my articles!
