24 Most Memorable Deaths From 24

4. Nina Myers

Played By - Sarah Clarke, Episode - Day 3: 2.00am-3.00am Jack Bauer doesn't have much luck with women. Throughout 24's fourth, fifth and sixth season, he is romantically connected to Audrey Raines, who enters into a catatonic state between seasons five and six when Jack is in Chinese custody. He is then effectively ordered out of her life by her father in the aftermath to spare her more pain and suffering following his return. Before that, however, his wife Teri is murdered (something we'll get to in due course) by Nina Myers, one of his staunchest allies in CTU (and one-time romantic partner) who transpires to be a mole for the Drazen family at the end of season one. Understandably, Jack (and his daughter Kim) wish for justice to be enacted for such a vile act, but nothing happens when Nina pops up briefly in the second season. In the third season, however, she turns up as a buyer for the Cordilla virus that Jack and CTU are attempting to purchase in order to remove it from the market. She is taken into custody and tortured, but manages to escape in Bauer-like fashion, killing numerous people before she is cornered with a gun by Kim, who is unable to pull the trigger. Thankfully, her father then arrives, putting Nina down on the spot and creating a much-rejoiced television death long before Game Of Thrones King Joffrey ever arrived on the scene.

3. Renee Walker

Played By - Annie Wersching, Episode - Day 8: 8.00am-9.00am Jack Bauer doesn't have much luck with women, part two (Kate Morgan in the currently airing 24: Live Another Day probably shouldn't get too close to him...) After the unfortunate death of Omar Hassan during the course of 24's eighth season, it appears that things are set to wind down after Jack and former FBI agent Renee Walker, who he worked with and was a strong influence on in season seven, are part of a team that successfully capture Hassan's assailant, Samir Mehran. Renee appears to suspiciously recognise one of the paramedics that arrive on scene, however. It transpires that this medic is Pavel Tokarev, a Russian assassin who kills Mehran and seeks to then do the same to Renee, recognising her from her time undercover in the Russian underworld and fearing that she could identify him. He therefore tracks her to Jack's apartment, where she 'wind downs' from their operation and formalises her relationship with Jack for the first time. This is cut short, however, when Pavel snipes Renee from afar. Jack rushes her to a hospital, cradling her bloody body in his arms, but there is nothing that can be done, and she becomes yet another fallen love of a man who has to be the world's most emotionally scarred anti-terrorist agent.
