24 Of 24's Most Memorable Characters - Ranked
11. Sherry Palmer (Days 1 To 3)
The Lady Macbeth of 24 - without the destructive conscience - would simply stop at nothing to get her husband, Senator David Palmer, to the White House; would stop at nothing to satisfy her unquenchable thirst for power.
Over the course of season one Sherry participated in covering-up murders that put an untold strain on the Palmer family, an acceptable strain in her eyes so long as it got David elected president. She got a staffer to try to seduce David, which failed miserably. She disobeyed his wishes by going to the press and telling them he hadn’t been assassinated when in fact it’s what he wanted in order to save the life of Jack’s daughter, Kim.
All of which led to a fed-up David ditching her (see video above). Her involvement in season two’s events took a decidedly murkier turn when it was revealed she played a hand in the conspiracy, which she was pardoned for.
Like an addictive drug, David couldn’t help but call upon Sherry, again, during season three when a dirty job needed doing, which led to - shock, horror - another murder cover-up. But like some drug addictions, it all ended tragically as she was eventually shot and killed.
