25 Best Sons Of Anarchy Deaths

7. Juice Ortiz

After several seasons of bad decisions and digging a hole that just seemed to keep getting bigger and bigger, Juice resigned himself to death in the series' penultimate episode. For its first three seasons, Juice was often kept as a relatively minor player compared to the rest, with his biggest highlight being feeding guard dogs crystal meth in an attempt to knock them out. In season four, Juice was blackmailed by Roosevelt and Lincoln Potter over the truth about his parentage, kicking off the naive club member's long descent into becoming one of the series' most tragic characters. Afraid of what would happen if the club found out his father was black, Juice ended up stealing cocaine the club was meant to protect, murdered and framed Miles for the theft and even attempted to commit suicide before finally coming clean with Chibs about his father, a fact that Chibs ultimately shrugged off, making Juice's decisions all the more woefully pointless. As the series rolled on, Juice would latch on to Clay and Gemma for their support as Jax and the club used what he did as leverage against him to do their dirty work, whether it be to help frame Clay for Pope's murder or to suffocate Darvany, all while spiraling deeper into depression. After Jax learned that Juice had confessed to Nero that he had killed Darvany, Jax confronted Juice about his betrayal, leading Juice to go on the run from the club after killing Roosevelt to protect Gemma after she had killed Tara. Even after the club finally got their hands on him again, he was tasked with being incarcerated and killing Henry Lin to save his life, a mission he succeeded in to prove his loyalty to the club again before Jax asked him to divulge the truth about Tara's murder. In a stellar scene showcasing great work by Theo Rossi and Charlie Hunnam, Juice finally got everything out, confirming that he had helped Gemma hide the truth even as it meant sentencing himself to death. After all the prison rape, all the emotional torture and several seasons of an increasingly bleak fate, Juice's final act of choosing the club instead of himself by not taking up the Chinese offer to kill Ron Tully was a noble moment for the long-suffering Puerto Rican. Tully followed through on Jax's order to kill him and finally allowed viewers to breathe a sigh of relief and sadness that Juice's misery had finally come to an end.
