Introduced as Charmings new Sheriff in the shows fourth season, Eli Roosevelt was a harder-edged version of the town's own Captain America, the late David Hale. A good guy determined to take the bad guys down, Roosevelt quickly found himself caught up in the maelstrom of violence and drama around the club. After having a hand in blackmailing Juice something he ultimately came to be disgusted with and later suffering the loss of his wife thanks to Clay's machinations, Roosevelt went off the rails, butting heads off-duty with the club in search of his wifes killers and offering to give up a club rat (Juice) in return for information about Frankie Diamonds. Though Roosevelt eventually attempted to double back on his decision to give Jax the rat, the club leader easily deduced that it was, in fact, Juice. By the shows sixth season, Roosevelt was back in uniform, making his way through the season until the moment he found Taras body and a weeping Gemma nearby, only to be shot dead by an emotionless Juice before he could call for help. Roosevelts death was an added shocker to the events of the season six finale, both for the path it set Juices character down in the final season and for showcasing again that even the series' true good guys are just as unsafe as everyone else.
