The greedy, corrupt ex-cop originally seemed to be a solid ally for the club when he was introduced in its sixth season. As played by the always enjoyable Peter Weller, Barosky carried with him a sense of authority, a biting wit and a respectable no-nonsense attitude about his relationships and dealings. With Jax's belief that Jury White had been the rat who sold out the location of the guns at the Stockton port, Barosky was able to play the Sons and the Triads, motivated by his own interests rather than by any form of loyalty. After Lin gave up Barosky as the rat, the issue was tabled while Jax and the club dealt with cleaning up the fallout of all the larger lies that had begun to crumble. When "Handsome Jack" rolled up into Barosky's bakery in the series finale, the time for tying up loose ends had come. Without a word, Jax shot Barosky dead and moved on, giving the outwardly straightforward scumbag the down-to-business death he had coming.
