25 Best Supporting Characters From The Simpsons

1. Charles Montgomery Burns

The obvious choice for the coveted Number 1 spot really. The owner and manager of the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, Monty Burns is Springfield€™s eldest, wealthiest and most powerful resident. He€™s oblivious to goings-on in worldwide politics from the last 70-odd years and is completely out of touch with today€™s modern world. He believes a nickel will buy you a steak and kidney pie, a cup of coffee, a slice of cheesecake, a newspaper and still have change for a trolley ride home. His age then is cause for much discussion, ranging from 81 to 123. Despite his very frail physique (putting a needle in his arm is like poking through meringue) and having every disease known to man, he€™s still feared amongst fellow Springfieldians, especially his employees. He€™s known to be particularly cruel, heartless and cares little for anyone but himself, even his long-serving assistant, Waylon Smithers, who may or may not have a long-standing, sordid, fantasy-based crush on him. Again, ewwww. So, there we have it, the 25 best supporting Simpsons characters of all time (in accordance to my four rules listed at the beginning...which feels like a REALLY long time ago). What do you think? Do you feel anyone has been criminally over-looked? I open up the floor for much discussion and arguments...
