19. A Three Grand Butterfly
For this one of Del Boy's get rich quick schemes, he all but forcably took Denzil's two thousand pound redundancy money to buy a consignment of doors to sell to Brendan O'Shaughnessy. The only problem, once Del had bought the doors, was that his customers no longer wanted to buy.
With Denzil and his brothers on the hunt for Del and his money, the Trotters needed a new get rich quick scheme to recoup the losses of their last get rich quick scheme. When Rodney read about a rare and potentially valuable butterfly, none of them really thought that would be the answer to their problem.
Until they miraculously spotted the butterfly in the park. After Rodney waded into the pond to grab it, he very carefully passed it to Del. With their problem solved, since it was said to be worth around three grand, and with Denzil skating past, Del had to tell his friend. The irony of Denzil's low five crushing the one thing that would have given him his money back is priceless.
