During the orgy scene, it's explained with sledgehammer subtlety that Ani was sexually abused as a child, as the Molly forces her to have a flashback to her childhood, where a man tells her she's pretty and asks her to help him find a unicorn in the woods. After escaping from the orgy while still on the effects of the drug, she further explains the catharsis of killing the security guard at the party, to a confused Ray who is looking after her. In the finale, a post-coital Ani explains to Ray that she spent four days with the man, but voluntarily got into his car and, most disturbingly, felt pride at the time that he thought she was pretty.
