Poor Frank, he almost made it to the finish line. Near the end of the finale, Frank is kidnapped by the Mexican drug cartel and driven out to the desert, where Frank refuses to give up his jacket (because it contains millions of dollars worth of diamonds), and ends up stabbed in the side for his troubles. As they drive off, Frank wanders through the desert, encountering ghosts of his past, including his father, his business victims and finally his wife Jordan, who informs him that he's not really walking, as he looks back to see his corpse lying on the ground. The realisation catches up to Frank, who then drops dead on the spot. Given how strangely likable Frank proved to be, especially in the final episode, it's a damn shame but also an inevitability that he couldn't make it out alive.
