12. The Slitheen Farting And Still Expecting To Be Taken Seriously
What was Russell T Davies thinking?! The Ninth Doctor and Rose Tyler encountered the scheming Slitheen back in Series 1's Aliens of London/World War Three and they probably would've come close to actually being threatening if they hadn't spent the entire two-parter farting their way to world domination. These otherwise reputable Raxacoricofallapatorians even managed to infiltrate Downing Street as part of their ploy to destroy planet Earth and sell its remains as intergalactic fuel (with a bulletproof plan like that, how could they possibly fail!?) but any underlying sense of peril was overshadowed by their gut-wrenchingly cringeworthy gas exchange which left a bad smell in the air and an even worse aftertaste in our mouths. It only affirmed, if there was any doubt, that Doctor Who and farting definitely don't mix. Thank God they got it out of their system.
