And here it is. The biggest "WTF?!" moment in Doctor Who history and it's another gob-smacking entry from Series 2's Doctor-lite escapade Love & Monsters. The episode in question is strange all over - what with Elton Pope's persistent ELO obsession and Jackie Tyler waving around her dirty knickers - but Russell T Davies apparently decided that he hadn't traumatised the viewers enough already with the image of Peter Kay running around the streets of Cardiff in a giant nappy so he chose to top it all off with this little gem that still possesses the power to haunt us almost 10 years on. Don't get us wrong, it was genuinely moving when Elton realised his love for Ursula Blake for her to be absorbed to death in the very next scene but then she got brought back as a paving slab and none of it made any sense. At least they've still got "a bit of a love life", though, because that's really all that was missing from their nonsensical situation.
