It's an all-star cast for BBC's five-part series "London Spy" - with Jim Broadbent, Edward Holcroft, Charlotte Rampling and the latest actor to play Q in James Bond, Ben Whishaw, all featuring in this drama series. Written by Rob Smith, Whishaw plays the lead character "Danny", who is a hedonistic romantic who falls in love with a spy named "Alex" - a man who is soon discovered dead. Danny must then decide whether he's willing to risk his life to try and find out exactly what happened to his lover. The Selling Point: Ben Whishaw has been brilliant as Q so seeing him in an alternative TV role should be interesting - and (just about) anything with Jim Broadbent in it is worth a watch. Also, a spy film with a homosexual storyline is refreshing and adds to the intrigue. The Concerns: Aside from the homosexual element, this sounds worryingly similar to most other espionage-inspired TV shows. Let's hope it offers something unique.
