28 WTF Moments From The Flash's Season 2 Premiere

10. Convenient Flashback Alert

The Flash Joe West
The CW

Both The Flash and Arrow love a conveniently-timed flashback moment, and this season premiere was no different.

Just as the modern-day Barry Allen is struggling to let people in and is putting the focus on dealing with problems on his own, we get a well-timed look back at a similar occurrence after the death of mother Nora.

At that time, the young Barry was reluctant to let Joe in on what he was feeling, instead letting it all build up inside. Bringing it forward to the present, we see the adult Barry awakening from an Atom-Smasher-delivered beating to see the familiar face of Joe, who proceeds to basically tell him to get his sh*t together.
