3 Reasons For And Against John Oliver Getting A Daily Show Spin-Off

thedailyshow The Daily Show is one of my favorite shows on television, and, until recently, I wasn€™t sure if that was just because I love Jon Stewart as a comedian and a person. While I€™m a huge fan of Stewart, I€™ve been enjoying John Oliver€™s recent hosting of The Daily Show. The show hasn€™t skipped a beat with Oliver at the helm, and his performance has been a breath of refreshing air, especially when I was unsure as to the quality of the show during Stewart€™s film-making vacation. Oliver has performed magnificently in the absence of his boss, Stewart. I€™ve heard rumors that this is a sort of test run to see if Oliver could, potentially, take over hosting The Daily Show if Stewart were to retire from the show. His performance has been so impressive that I could even see him getting his own show on Comedy Central, much the same as Stephen Colbert did all those years ago. I€™m tentative toward that happening. Here are 3 reasons why I think Oliver should get his own show, and 3 reasons why he shouldn€™t. If you feel strongly toward either side, shout it out below!
