3 Ups & 3 Downs From Star Wars: Clone Wars 7.5 - Gone With A Trace

5. Down - Pacing

Clone Wars Season 7 Episode 5
Lucasfilm

Gone With a Trace spends a bit too much time on Ashoka and Trace as they fix the speeder bike and not enough on the killer droid that attacks Coruscant City. In fact, the binary loadlifter droid, which effectively acts as the episode's main antagonist, doesn't even appear until about 13 minutes in, well over halfway into the episode.

There are many lulls in Gone With a Trace where not much is going on. Ashoka and Trace talk a little bit about whether the Jedi are "good" or "bad", but it's not interesting or fun enough to carry the episode's low points. I doubt too many people watch Star Wars for the bike repair scenes.
