30 Greatest TV Sitcoms Of All Time
20. Friends
It's tough to put a label on just how big a show Friends has become since it began and since it ended. Seemingly timeless, Friends is one of the most wildly popular and beloved shows worldwide.
With its classic character line-up and recurring themes of relationships, friendship (obviously) and the ups-and-downs of life, it's no wonder it's still such a TV staple.
Ross and Rachel's will-they-won't-they remains one of television's most compelling plot lines, and Chandler's sarcasm has defined him as one of the funniest characters in the sitcom genre. Thanks to committed performances, some touching moments and its numerous quotable jokes, Friends shows no signs of losing its popularity.
It may have lost its edge slightly in its later run, but there's no mistaking that this is a show which is about as culturally significant as anything else to ever grace our screens, and it deserves to be watched again and again.
