Though it might sound like an unlikely success story, it turns out that getting Matt LeBlanc to play an arrogant, fictionalised version of himself in a sit-com which balances the humour of both British and American television is a pretty good idea.

Focusing on two successful British writers who move to Hollywood to make their famous sitcom for American audiences, Episodes uses LeBlanc perfectly and takes shots at the idea of the celebrity.

For his role, LeBlanc won a Golden Globe and gave his best performance since Friends. British comedy staples Tamsin Greig and Stephen Mangan match him wit-for-wit throughout the show's five short but sweet seasons, with enough laughs and famous faces popping up to make for a top-notch viewing experience.

I get to write about what I love, so that's pretty cool. Every great film should seem new every time you see it. Be excellent to each other.
